Yes it’s the best Pie In the World.

Okay ill be honest it took me several times to get it right. Either my roll outs would brake, the texture was too sticky, or too hard.

If you want the perfect tip, you need to be in the most positive mood, and give it lots of love and patience.

Don’t  overwork the dough. It takes about ten minutes or less to prepare.

Make sure your butter, lard, and water is cold.

When pouring the water two ounces should be enough, but pour little by little to make sure it’s not too sticky.

I use the plastic wrap because it’s easier for me to handle when setting on the pie dish. You don’t need the plastic wrap if you can master.

Most important don’t forget to sprinkle your dough before rolling out.

Trust me it will be easier on your rolls. Don’t be afraid to sprinkle with more flour if it’s sticking to the roller. 😉

I’ve made different types of pies and never satisfied. Even when I get a store bought pie it doesn’t satisfy not crumbly, crispy, or  fresh.

But this pie satisfying an heavenly.

It’s thin, flaky, buttery and crunchy. And the best part it’s supper easy to make.

And you can fill it up with your favorite fruit, vegetable, or any of your favorites.

Bake for twenty to twenty five minutes until you see a hint of brownness to the pie. All ovens are not created equal.

Add your favorite toping, and continue baking depending on your filling.

My favorite way is when I make it on quiche, and it takes about another 35 minutes to bake in the oven which makes it 55 minutes in total cooking time..

Not a fan of thick crust pies, but if you are theirs a perfect solution make another layer and place it on top of your filling and enjoy.  😉
