Poke Bowl Too Perfection

Throughout the week I get random cravings, and it will be one specific food. And there’s no way I’m backing down in making it happen.

This particular week I was having a strong craving for Sushi.

I decided to get Sushi from a restaurant that was ranked four stars in a half in Yelp. And I wasn’t impressed.

The presentation was picture perfect. But all I was able to taste was rice and the sauce’s on the rolls. And left craving Salmon and Tuna.

I do have my favorite restaurant for Sushi, and even though there stars have managed too decline they continue to be one of my favorite.


But knowing that I was going to be busy throughout the week, I wasn’t going able to come for Sushi in a while.

And I decided to buy an Ahi Tuna Steak, and create my own Sushi version.

I was impressed and pleased with the results. It was easy to put together, and you can add your favorite vegetables or ingredients.

When I eat Sushi I always wonder how fresh the ingredients are and the storage process.

But Sushi is one of my favorite foods, and in all honesty I made my own Poke Bowl, because I wanted too learn the process.

It’s also one of my favorite cheat meals and  that by the end of the day makes me feel guilt free.

Not only was I able to create the perfect Poke Bowl, but I had a great time making it.

All the vegetables and lettuce were fresh. And not wilted and soggy.

And presentation is everything too me, and I had to make sure it looked delicious to eat.

Not only was I satisfied with the taste, my brother tried it for the first time and he loved it. Wanting to give him the whole experience the Spicy Mayo was a must.

Instructions
  1. Small bowl mix together Soy Sauce, Rice Vinegar, Sesame Oil, Worcertersause , Ground Ginger, Ground Coriander, Paprika, Nutmeg to make a sauce. Cut Ahi Tuna into small pieces and pour mixture to marinate for a couple of hours.
  2. Cut Cucumber, Lettuce, Avocado, Carrots, Mango, Purple Cabbage, Shallots into small pieces. Make individual bowls with the marinated Ahi Tuna, and add all the ingredients, and don't forget the Edamame Beans adds that extra crunchy texture.
  3. For Spicy Sauce add Mayonnaise, Hoisin Sauce, Ketchup, Sriracha Sauce, Smoked Paprika Powder.
