Packaged and freshly made Chocolate Chip Cookies for my cousin. If you ask me theirs no better way to show your love by sending a box of cookies.

Cookies For Your Loved Ones

I love visiting LA, specially when I get to see my cousin. On this particular visit I left missing her more than ever. I sincerely feel like she’s more than a cousin. I feel a deep connection, we can talk for hours about important topics or unimportant. We eat the same food, shop, and care for others.

She made me feel extra special with her humble nature…and wanted to show her how much meaning she brings to my life.

So I send her a box of cookies via Fed Ex.

And yes I could have send her a special arrangement from a well known gift shop…but in my opinion taking the time and space to create something for your loved ones, makes it extra special.

Cookie Dancing is Therapy

Theirs something definitely sexy and exciting when cooking with chocolate. It literally makes me feel warm and happy. Besides the fact that throughout the whole process I was literally drooling, and I couldn’t wait to ship them off to her and make her day…since it made my day.

Oh and let me be clear which song motivated the baking at 2:00 am in the morning…song by Church Eric, “Like A Wrecking Ball.” One of my favorite song tracks. If I want to cook, wake up, feel motivated, or run a little faster at the gym then this is the track. One of my favorite rituals.

Not Just Any Cookie

Incase your wondering, I did make extra cookies for my boys. And since my brother lives with me I’ve adopted him as my son and he has become my personal food critic. I’ve shared all my recipes through his approval.

Soft moist, rich in chocolate, nutty, and dense all in one bite. It will literally leave you wanting more. And the secret is all in the butter, and don’t forget to melt just a tiny bit. When mixed with the sugar it makes the batter extra creamy, smooth, and fluffy. Enjoy 😉

  1. Pour Brown Sugar and Cane Sugar into a mixing bowl. Melt the Unsalted Butter in the microwave for a smooth texture and pour into the sugar. Mix with a hand mixer until nice and creamy.
  2. Add Flour, Cocoa Powder, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Fine Sea Salt, Cinnamon, and eggs mix until nice and creamy. Pour in Walnuts and White Chocolate Chips and fold in to the mixture with a spoon.
  3. On a baking dish spray Cooking Oil. Set oven at 350 Degrees and bake for 11 minutes. All ovens are not created equal so be careful not to over cook. The cookie will look slightly uncooked but trust your instincts. ; ) Enjoy...
