I love cooking cakes…it makes me extremely happy. If I could make a cake for everyone’s Birthday I would…but not everyone is ready for my decorating skills.

I get this warm fussy feeling when baking, everything seems perfect. I also tend to love everything and everyone. I’m filled with happy thoughts and my mouth literally waters throughout the whole process.

Confession I have a box of chocolate in my room. Every night I will indulge on a piece of Chocolate and it’s just a reminder that the day was all worth it.

Cake Décor Fail

I wanted to design the unicorn cake, and when attempting the flowers I failed miserably. I definitely need culinary school for this or work on it harder. Since the unicorn cake failed, I made it into a flower cake.

Don’t worry if it doesn’t come out pretty…try to fix it and make the best out of it. And if you fail on plan A try plan B. If both failed then it was meant to be eaten at home…hopefully the cake wasn’t made for someone special because regardless of the design this cake taste amazing. The frosting is delicious and the inside of the cake taste even better super moist, soft, fluffy, bursting with chocolate, and easy to make.

Good Coffee Please

I brewed fresh Starbucks Coffee and trust me you want to add good tasting coffee. I’ve tried some instant coffees and it makes a huge difference. I personally cannot drink some coffee brands. My sister argues with me every morning and says “Erica it’s coffee theirs no difference they all taste the same”  while trying to convince me to drink her brand. The only way I will drink her coffee is if I run out of mine and I’m desperate which happens rarely.

Best Cake

I’ve tried many Chocolate Cake recipes and by far this is my favorite. Quick and easy to make and it taste like it was baked from the best bakery. Super moist and the secret is the sour cream. Cutting into the first slice will be highly enjoyable due to the softness glorious feeling of the cake.

Once you try this recipe you’ll give up trying to find the perfect chocolate cake or maybe not. Either way it tastes sinfully delicious. Enjoy 🙂

Instructions
  1. Bowl pour room temperature Unsalted Butter, Brown Sugar, Cane Sugar and cream together for about a minute. Add eggs, Sour Cream, Heavy Cream, Cocoa Powder, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, and Brewed Coffee. Mix all ingredients until nice and creamy.

Add Half of the Powder Sugar and mix with a hand mixer or Baking mixer for two minutes add heavy cream and mix for additional One minutes until nice and creamy. Add the rest of the Powder Sugar and Mix for additional five minutes. If the buttercream is too soft add a little more powder sugar.
