It’s been a challenging week and the best way I find to distress, find confort is through cooking a nice meal for a loved one.

Weirdly it Satisfies Me

The company, the preparation of the main dish…all the way to how it will taste. As I lay down in bed on Friday nigh and start anticipating the idea, and feels my heart with a warm satisfaction.

I call my mom around 2 pm, and invited her for dinner that Saturday night…”My mom will be the highlight of my day.”

She answers and instantly I notice that she was whispering and unable to talk, which meant that she was working.

I felt a bit disappointed…since she would be tired and not fully present for dinner.

Regardless I asked her to come for dinner, and she agreed.

Fancy Dinner

On the Menu I had the Main Dish which was the Sweet Marinated Shrimp, Rockfish Baked in The Oven, Italian Fried Sausage, Sautéed Collard Greens, Steamed White Rice, Four Cheese Focaccia Bread, and Red Wine. The setting was deliciously prepared and set perfectly. I had every intention surprise my mommy…in hopes that she would relax and feel special.

And even if she didn’t notice that I did it all for her…it didn’t  concern me because it was done with love and appreciation for all her admirable hard work.

Make Someone Feel Special

I’ve build strong connections through cooking for family and friends. And if your my sibling, friend, or child…you’ll get a random invitation at 5:00 am in the morning for breakfast.

Very rarely will I get a (YES) at this time…”I take the time of the invitation is not everyone’s cup of tea…Sadly.”

Give a try cook something delicious for someone whom you would love to spend time with, or make that random invitation. That is if you’re passionate for food just like me. 😉
