Thank you Adrian for Being an Amazing Human Being

This dish was made specially for my brother. He made a request since last year and since it takes a little longer than most recipes it took me a while to decide to make.

I woke up at 2:00 am to start the recipe, the process to prepare is long but totally worth making. Specially if it’s for the people that you love.

Breakfast Success

Lasagna for breakfast was a success  without a single denial.. I thought to myself “Wow in order to make them eat without a complaining it has to be loaded Carbs and Cheese…” I don’t blame them pasta was always one of my favorite dishes.

Lasagna is a must

That afternoon my son was out of school needing a ride home, and asked if there was any leftovers. And when I said “Yes” he replied “Yes! It was really good and I didn’t get a chance to eat that much because of school.”

Talk about a boost to my confidence. 🙂 As the day came about when I got home my brother received me with a huge smile and a hug. He also confessed that when he was in class he couldn’t concentrate, he had already tasted Lasagna for breakfast and was obsessing over it during class.

My son asked me if I could make more, and told him their one piece left. He said “No, that piece is for Nadia she called, and said to leave her a piece.” Like any other mother I told him too eat the last piece, and to ease his guilt I told him Nadia had already eaten. My sister had already tried the Lasagna and since she is a mom she would completely understand my selfish decision.

Without hesitating he took the last piece.

More Lasagna Pleaaaase

To my surprise the debate wasn’t over, making more Lasagna was in demand. As my brother comes towards me begging me to make another dish. He offered to help buy the ingredients and prepare the dish.

I replied with a soon and like always he asked me, “When tomorrow?” 😉

Take Your Time

If you love to cook this recipe wont be a challenge. I usually add more ingredients, and was struggling with myself when making it, because of the lack of ingredients. But I told myself I needed to work with what I had and make this happen for my brother.

Grab all the ingredients before hand. I prepared the meat, and the sauce at the same time. After ten minutes of browning the meat and putting the sauce together. Combine both and let them cook for 20 minutes. Trying to save you some time. 😉

The Lasagna didn’t fit into the dish, but I made is work. Cut the edges if you must no one will notice.

Once all the ingredients are put together the baking part will be a piece of cake. One hour and Twenty minutes which gives you time to rest, meditate, or plan the rest of the day.

If You Cant Pay Them Feed Them

I sincerely cannot phantom how to repay my brother, for the help I’ve received from him this year. And I know a dish wouldn’t come close to repaying him.

One day I truly hope he’s able to understand the love, and respect I have for all his support.
